What's The Deal?
Getting There: Fly into Rome or Florence and drive or take a train to Siena. Villa Catignano is 5km from Siena. If we get a large group to meet in Rome, we'll send a bus for you all.
Accomodations: http://www.villacatignano.it/ We have reserved the entire Villa to accommodate up to 36 guests. This is on a first come-first serve basis. Additional apartments in the Fattoria may be available. To make the trip more affordable for our guests, we are sharing the expense of the villa. The remaining cost to our guests will be a maximum $50 per person/per night for accommodation.
The apartments in the villa are self-catered. Every apartment is furnished with its own kitchen. Markets and grocery stores are nearby. We will furnish the welcome dinner, reception dinner and after wedding brunch. We hope to enjoy shared wine and pot luck meals in the garden or apartments on the other nights as well. Did we mention that wine is cheaper than Coca-Cola in Italy?
For those interested, group tours, cooking classes and wine tastings may be arranged.

The "Villa di Catignano" was built at the end of XVII° century by the ancestor of the currents proprietors, Quinto Settano, pseudonym of Monsignor Lodovico Sergardi, a writer and a lover of the arts. The small borough already existed in 1500 with the name of "Clatinianum" as a property of Sergardi family. Nowadays the Villa, overlooking a beautiful italian garden, decorated with statues representing the four season, and the medieval towers of Siena in the distance, welcomes guests who appreciate historical sites and suggestive atmospheres.
